The Governor General visits Community Services #1
We were honoured to welcome the Governor General to CS#1 in late March, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to support and build the communities we serve.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the impactful programs we run from our head office including food assistance, social support and aged care groups and other community engagement initiatives.
During the tour, the Governor General engaged with staff, volunteers, and clients, hearing firsthand how our work is making a difference in people’s lives. The visit highlighted the importance of grassroots community services and the vital role they play in building a more inclusive and supportive society. Our clients were delighted to spend a significant amount of time talking with Her Excellency – her visit had a significant and lasting impact on many of them.
This recognition at a national level reinforces our commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening communities. We are grateful for the Governor General’s time and interest in our mission and look forward to continuing our work with renewed energy and support.
