Binara Early Childhood Centre is a 74 place centre, situated in the inner city beneath the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. The Centre operates 51 weeks of the year and provides a nurturing environment. Our culturally diverse and highly qualified educators create environments for learning that develop independence and self esteem for your child.
The waiting list has a has a priority of access to the Department of Industry and can also take non-Departmental applications.
This unique centre has an open door policy, inviting parents and carers to be a part of the daily program as much as is possible. Parents are encouraged to make a visit to the centre a part of their day. We provide all that your child will require for the day. Binara Early Childhood Centre is proud to be accredited as an Actsmart business and recognised as a business that is actively recycling and being environmentally responsible.
As part of the daily fee, all of our centres provide a full nappy service. Linen for sleep times is also provided, and is laundered by the centre.

This sample menu provides the following serves per day: Grains (2), Fruit (1), Vegetables (2), Dairy (1), Meat/alternative (1), Sometimes Food (0).
Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack are served to children on a flexible timetable depending upon individual children’s needs. The menu is planned in consultation with parents and the children and therefore has a wide variety of foods.
Binara caters for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age and open from 7.30am to 6.00pm. There are four rooms:
Geckos 6 weeks – 18 months
Tawny-Dragons 18 months – 3 years
Blue-Tongues 3 years – 4 years
Goannas 3 years – 5 years
We have a music program and a wellness program. The Tawny-Dragons, Blue-Tongues and Goannas go to the local fresh fruit markets on Thursdays and Goannas go to Glebe park on Fridays.
