Media release: Community Services #1 launches its visionary Strategic Plan 2019-2024 today

A commitment to achieving better connections with our families, neighbours and the community is at the heart of Community Services #1’s (CS#1) Strategic Plan 2019–2024, launched today.

Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith MLA, the CS#1 Board and CS#1’s CEO, Amanda Tobler officially launched the Plan at a function at The Deck at Regatta Point this morning, followed by separate celebratory events involving all CS#1 staff, including its five early education and care centres and Narrabundah head office.

The Strategic Plan 2019–2024 is the culmination of over 18 months’ stakeholder engagement and planning.

CS#1’s CEO and Board engaged with over 70 individuals and groups from clients, families, children, Members of the Legislative Assembly, Members of Parliament, community members and other community organisations and groups.

The plan’s vision is to connect people to enrich lives, provide services that enhance quality of life and by 2029, ensure CS#1 is a leading Australian agency working with people of all ages to strengthen our community.

CEO Amanda Tobler said “the Board and I would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who participated in this journey. Each contribution has enabled us to develop a purposeful and well-considered plan that we can all actively support and believe in.

“This is a very exciting time for the progression of our organisation and we look forward to bringing this visionary plan to fruition in the coming years.”

CS#1 is a community based, non-government organisation that has been providing a wide range of services to families and individuals living in Canberra for more than 30 years.
