CS#1 has five Early Education and Care services, which are located in the City and Canberra’s inner-south suburbs of Barton, Forrest and Narrabundah and two Out of School Centres in Mawson and Throsby. Each of our services has an individual identity drawn from our educators, family, children’s voices, culture and heritage.

CS#1 partnered with the Australian government to assist in funding our employees with their career development. Here at CS#1 we assist employees by completely funding their Diploma studies, whilst providing study leave for up to 3 hours a week for Permanent Full-time positions and 1.5 hours a week for Permanent Part-time positions. The funding is available up until 30 June 2022.

Achieving this qualification will assist you in your future career aspirations, allowing you to be able to move into a diploma educator, Team Leader, and ECT Position at a higher pay rate.

About the roles:

Student Educator

We are seeking educators that can assist and be involved with the implementation of programs for children in our care centers. Our educators are responsible for building positive relationship with the children, parents and the rest of the team, to develop trust between carer, child and parent.

  • Permanent Full-time/ part-time / casual positions available
  • Hourly rate of $21.85 commensurate with qualifications and experiences, plus superannuation – casuals will receive an additional 25% loading in lieu of receiving leave benefits (total hourly rate between $27.31)

To be successful in these roles, you will have:

  • Unrestricted Australian working rights
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Covid-19 vaccine evidence (mandatory)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • Passionate about developing happy, capable and confident children through an engaging early education and care program
