About the role:

Community Services #1 will be operating the new Out of School Hours Care program for children in Preschool to Year 6 at Throsby Primary School, opening in Term 1 of 2022.

The OSHC Director will collaborate with the Operations Director and Executive Director Children’s Services to build the program, shaping the curriculum and culture of the service in line with the needs of local children and families and building a strong partnership with the school.

The successful applicant will fill the role of nominated supervisor, and will be responsible for the ongoing day-to-day operations of the program.

  • Permanent full-time position (76 hours/fortnight)
  • Annual salary from $75,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus superannuation and tax benefits to maximise take home pay

To be successful in the Director role, you will have:

  • Diploma in Early Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Current driver licence and own car (desirable)
  • First aid certificate, including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Experience managing an OSHC or Early Education and Care service
  • Sound knowledge of National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Framework
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including mediating positive outcomes, maintaining confidentiality and writing reports
